A Note From Our Executive Director, Terri Thomas




The VRC is bursting at the seams with thankfulness, happiness, growth, and love!!! We are celebrating sharing our new home with our community on June 12th. We are excited about our remarkable partnership with LC Industries in helping the blind work. We are celebrating summer camp for our kids on June 17-21. An exciting twist to our annual fundraiser coming in September. The VRC will be recognized in Raleigh, NC, at the Insightful Visionaries Visionary Honors Awards as a spirit in collaboration with other leaders leading NC in the mission of serving the blind https://insightfulvisionaries.org/spirit-of-collaboration/ on June 8th. So many blessings! Thanks, Cumberland Community Foundation, Summertime Kids Grant, Youth Growth Stock Trust Fund, FRT, and Cape Fear Kiwanis our kids are going to have a ball this summer. LC Industries we thank you for the love and dedication to the mission, City of Fayetteville Parks and Recreation thanks for over ten years at the Dorothy Gilmore Recreation Center and Cumberland County we thank you for our new journey.


Come out and help the VRC Board, staff, and "family" members celebrate our new home and 80 years serving those without sight, but plenty of vision!!!
